Comments about Product: We bought this for our son's 10th birthday. He is tall for his age, and we bought the Deluxe model. It was perfect. My 2 year old and 5 year old also LOVED it. They all loved it so much that when we had an unplanned move a few months later (and left the zipline behind) we had to promise to get another one at the new house. The new one was just installed!
A few things to note: Having two trees a good distance apart (40 feet or more) with a clear space in between is really helpful. This time we have the trees. Last time we had a wonderful friend build us a tower (cemented into the ground) for one end of it. Obviously the trees made it quicker and easier to install! Also, you need some way for the kids to get up to the height they need to reach the trolley (tree ladder, step ladder, some other stable item). We also had to tie a (short, so there were no tangling worries) rope to the trolley so the kids could reach it to bring the trolley back to the beginning.
All in all this is HOURS of fun, and well worth the price.
Comments about Product: I purchased this as a gift for my 10-year old daughter who requested it. Luckily, my husband was handy enough to be able to read and follow the assembly instructions, or I would have had to hire someone. We purchased the 70' zipline knowing the distance between the trees we were planning on attaching it to. It's plenty long, but if you have enough distance for the 90', go for it! The longer, the more fun! My daughter has been enjoying it; my 13 year old son thought it was kind of boring. You do need to make it VERY high at the starting point (we had to stand on a ladder and the kids had to climb up the ladder to reach it). We will need to install a tree ladder or hammer some wood pieces into the tree so the kids can climb up to reach it. When we had it lower, they were dragging their feet on the ground halfway through. My daughter had the idea to tie an outdoor cushion to the ending tree to create a soft landing. She also puts her feet out to stop. I don't believe it's as dangerous as the instructions make it out to be. Even though the starting point is high, you get low pretty quickly and are not far from the ground if you happen to fall off.
Comments about Product: Well, we are the hit on the block. The zip-line went up quickly and everything was there. We bought the longer line and are very glad we did. We've had adults and children all enjoy their ride through the pine trees.
The kit was an easy way to get the zip-line up and running. We tried to buy all the parts seperately and decided we were not meant to try it on our own.
The only thing I saw I might suggest come in the kit is a line cover for the line encircling the trees to keep the line from digging into the bark. We will be using old hose for that purpose, as soon as we can find it free of kids, and adults.
Comments about Product: We bought this as a gift a week ago for our 10yr. old daughter who loves to ride it. She even designed a stick and loop creation to get it back to the start. We may have to buy a shorter length one for our younger daughter who just can't do this high one yet. She runs behind her sister with the loop/stick to be a part of the fun. We love the strength of it and it seems like it will last for many years to come.
Comments about Product: This was a birthday gift for my six year old grandson. He loves it! It is very important that you do the measuring etc to set this up correctly. A lot of fun for a kid who loves adventure!
Comments about Product: The kids have played hours on this and can't wait to invite all their friends over to try it out. You can set it for your own comfort level as far as difficultly, which makes it versitile as well. My kids are 4, 6 and 7 and I think I've already gotten my money's worth out of the Funride!!
Comments about Product: Birthday present for my six year old grandson. It was a real hit at his birthday party, all of the other children loved it too. Our own (grown up now) children wish they had one "back in the day"
Comments about Product: My kids and all of the neighborhood kids love love love this toy! Nobody can get enough. I have 1 girl who is 6yrs. old and 1 girl who is 3yrs. old and both are able to fly through the air holding the handles with no problem. Terrific toy, hours of fun, worth every penny.
Comments about Product: The Fun Ride is exactly that...a "fun ride." We have it attached between two trees in our backyard and the children love it! They go on it everyday. The only problem is that the children won't share with us parents. And It would be nice if the handles were bigger for us adults.
Comments about Product: I ordered the Fun Ride as well as the rope ladder from Heartsong and made an adventure trail in the wooded area of my property for my five-year old grandson, Cody. Now he can't wait to come see his "Nana" so he can play on his adventure trail and zip through the trees on the Fun Ride. He loves it and I love watching him have fun!
Comments about Product: Needs to be tightened after every use... harder to assemble than we thought it would be. Doesn't go fast like we thought. My six year old stops in the middle of the rope. Not worth the money I paid
