Description
These stilts were designed exclusively for HearthSong so you won’t find them anywhere else. They feature balanced steel construction and traction rubber tips for safe, sturdy walking, and angled shoulder supports and nonskid footrests to give your child control. Plus, you can adjust the stilts from 56-1/2” to 66” as your child grows, so this is a toy that can last through the years. Add our extension kit to enhance the stilts even further. One brings the child 5” higher from the ground while the other adds spring cushions and a height extension, for a higher, bouncy step.

Great Christmas gift

My kids love these! My son is 10 and my daughter is 9 and they enjoy the challenge.They are now learning how to walk up and down stairs.They use them inside and outside.They really want the extenders so they can be more challenged.I highly recommend.

I had wanted to get these for my daughter a few years ago, but one of your very nice customer service reps said they might not be appropriate for a child of 6. She is 10 now, and these were a Christmas gift this year. They are wonderful, indoors and out! As others have commented, it's really nice to see a kid enjoying something that is not electronic. Very easy to assemble, strong, etc., just as everyone has said. However, I would say don't get this for a kid under 8. My daughter, who is kind of short, is just big enough for these right now.

Lots of Fun!

My daughter, 12, took to these right away. Since Christmas, they have been out all the time. She will randomly mount the stilts and start walking about the house. She and her friends take turns using them. It is nice to see them playing with something other than an electronic device!

Always on the lookout for a toy that can be used inside and outside for active boys, but will challenge them for more than a couple days. My nine year old was so excited by them and uses them every day. Older child got the hang of them right a way. Nine year old is still working on it, but understands that it takes time and is not getting frustrated. Some other comments indicated height of child was a problem and I would agree that would happen if your child is much under four feet tall regardless of age.

The product says for "ages 6 and up" but your six-year-old needs to be at least 54 inches tall to use them at all! (My seven-year-old is still under 48" -- it will be years before he can use them.)

Great fun, when you can balance

We purchased these stilts for our 6 year old granson for Christmas'09. It took awhile for him to learn the right balance, although his 10 year old brother got it right away! According to his mom, he still gets them out about weekly to navigate their sidewalks. They are sturdy and well made and seem to keep his interest.

Not Only Super Fun, but Super Durable

We gave a set of these stilts to our granddaughter when she was about 10 years old; those stilts are still going strong after 14 years. At outdoor family events at her house, the stilts come out, and everyone, including the adults, wants to take a turn walking with them. It is a lot of fun! More recently, after thinking about how succesful that gift was, we bought another pair for a younger grandson, and he absolutely loves using them. When his friends come to play, they all like to test their skill on the stilts. It is an enjoyable activity that results in lots of hilarious laughter. While the design has changed somewhat from the first pair we bought, the quality and durability of the stilts remains excellent.

Builds Great Coordination Skills

I have 9 grandchildren. Three are old enough to have fun with these..and they do! I fully expect these stilts to be around while the remaining 6 are growing up. The grandchildren fight over who gets them next! These are great fun and education for them!

Awesome Quality for the whole family

These stilts were a great gift for my 8 year old daughter. She was a little small for the size we got - her armpits didn't reach the rest like they are supposed to - but she just wraps her arms around the poles instead. By getting the larger size, the whole family can use them. They are very sturdy. Lots of fun for everyone to mess with.

Definitely Fun for the Kids

I bought this for my nephew for is 8th birthday. He loves the outdoors and really got a kick out of using the stilts to walk all over their small farm. It's another way to encourage exercise that kids won't dread because it's fun.

Well Made, but Too Tall

My 7 1/2 year old daughter really wanted stilts and was very excited when she received them. Thought they would be perfect since advertised for "ages 6 up." Unfortunately, directions inside package specify for 51" and taller. She's only 49", so can't quite get them under armpits yet to use independently. Would be helpful to have at least 1 additional hole to adjust height. Other than that, they are great stilts.
