A Morphibian Radio Control Vehicle uses 4 x 4 power to tackle the most rugged terrain and churn through water, in response to radio signals that come from the antenna on the controller in your hand. What's the difference between an amphibian and a Morphibian? An amphibian is an animal capable of living both on land and in water. Why be limited by roads? For kids, it's the path to adventure. Vehicle takes 3 AA batteries, controller takes 2 AAA batteries (not included). Morphibians run on one of two frequencies. The Shark and Explorer work on a 49 MHz frequency while the Gator, Orca, and Rover work on a 27 MHz frequency. Please note that to operate two independent Morphibians simultaneously, kids will need two different Morphibians that operate on different frequencies (not two Morphibians operating on the same frequency). For ages 5 and up. Morphibian Radio Control Vehicle runs on radio signals from the antenna on the handheld controller. Uses 4 x 4 power to go on land and churn through water. Vehicle takes 3 AA batteries, controller takes 2 AAA batteries (not included). Morphibians run on the same frequency. Available Styles Black Orca Blue Land Shark Green 'Gator Orange Explorer Size Approx. 8" x 5" x 6" Winner of Dr. Toy Best Vacation Toy Winner of Oppenheim Gold Award

The "Whale" very attractive design to 6 y.o. boy. Just right challenge to learn to steer. Morhphibian has trouble climbing out of pond in some areas; gravel slight slope entry point works well and gives some "wheel spin" effect that adds to fun. I just ordered a second morphibian because the adults had trouble giving time to the child!

I purchased two, the gator and the shark. The shark's on / off switch broke the first day. While the company admitted that the switch is faulty and replace toy quickly, it lost some appeal. Both have difficulties with some inclines covered in grass and dirt. Having two, sometimes the radio frequencies interfere with one another. It was a nice concept but not the quality I would have hoped for.

Comments about HearthSong Morphibian:
I got two of these for my boys for Christmas. They were so excited to play with them and wanted to race. THat is a no go with this product. Both can be controlled with the same remote. They can not play with them at the same time. we actually sent one of our boys half way in to our neighbors yard so that the frequency wouldn't cross (and we each live on 3/4acre lots). I will be contacting the maker to ask for any workabounds. But, if you only need one, good, fun toy.

This has been the easiest and sturdies remote controlled vehicle we've had. My five year old loves it, and it seems like it will last for quite a while.

I would recommend to a friend, but to purchase from different company if you need 2, since this company only sells one frequency. [...]

Great Toy!!

About Me Grandparent
My granddaughter loves this toy. We purchased it for Xmas, so she has not had an opportunity to play with it outside yet. It runs all over the house. We have very little carpet, so it runs well on our floors, without endangering any of the furniture!

our toy broke after one year

About Me Mother, Parent Of Two Or More Children
The body is well made and sturdy. We had fun playing with this in puddles a couple times, then after a year the on/off switch broke completely off. Now we can't get it to start. My boy is crushed, as this was one of his favorite toys. (Although he didn't play with it that much because it sucks batteries.)

I purchased the red Morphibian for my 5 year old son for Christmas. The batteries were easy to install and secure in both the "Phibian" and the remote. The Phibian worked great from the get go, and was easy for my son to get instant joy out of. The controls on the remote aren't standard, so it took about 10 minutes to get moderately good at steering it, but other than that, the Phibian is durable, a great size (8 inches long), and an instant favorite. My son has taken to driving it off the coffee table on to the floor. This thing takes a lickin and keeps on ticken. I'd highly recommend this product as a first and classic remote control car. Buy it. You won't be sorry.

Didn't work well and has been sitting unused for months because my son finds it frustrating. Remote was not easy to use and broke after 1 use had to have a friend fix a connection for us but it never really worked right. Found it to be a waste of money
Great toy I would buy again

About Me Educator, Parent
This is a great toy that lives up to all expectations. We took it to a nearby stream that flows into a pond and had a lot of fun. My son drove it for two hours solid and the battery lasted the whole time. It floats in deep water like a boat and is able to be steered while floating because of its side-separate steering method. It attracted tons of people watching as it drove both on land and then into the water. My son never gets tired of driving it and is worth the price for all the fun he's having with it.
Great fun!

My daughter loves this! She got it for Christmas at age 5 and it is easy for her to use. It has held up well, even to her little brother grabbing it by the antenae. This is a great toy.
Morphibian's are a hit!

My children love this product. It goes anywhere, rain or shine. Only draw back; remotes control both cars so for two children to use at a time they must be out of range of each other. Remotes can not get wet - cars can.
Not much fun on concrete

The advertisement for this product was enticing. If you don't have a backyard with grass and dirt this product will not be much fun.

Does great through wet grass and mud puddles at the park. The controls are fun to learn and give great mobility after getting the hang of it!

Don't have to much to say.....I bought 2 for my sons! they are on the same frequency, so they can't play with them!!! VERY VERY poor design! was soo desapointed. [...]! they look great and are perfect for little ones! don't forget to turn the swich off, they suck out batteries really fast though!I guess if you buy only one, It is a amazing toy, sturdy, looks great, really easy to opperate for the youngs! I have 4-3-1 years old boys.....so if I could survive in my house, It is a great toy!

This is really nice, but much smaller then I thought it could be. The kids like the light on it, just beware of its size.
