We gave a set of these stilts to our granddaughter when she was about 10 years old; those stilts are still going strong after 14 years. At outdoor family events at her house, the stilts come out, and everyone, including the adults, wants to take a turn walking with them. It is a lot of fun! More recently, after thinking about how succesful that gift was, we bought another pair for a younger grandson, and he absolutely loves using them. When his friends come to play, they all like to test their skill on the stilts. It is an enjoyable activity that results in lots of hilarious laughter. While the design has changed somewhat from the first pair we bought, the quality and durability of the stilts remains excellent.

I had wanted to get these for my daughter a few years ago, but one of your very nice customer service reps said they might not be appropriate for a child of 6. She is 10 now, and these were a Christmas gift this year. They are wonderful, indoors and out! As others have commented, it's really nice to see a kid enjoying something that is not electronic. Very easy to assemble, strong, etc., just as everyone has said. However, I would say don't get this for a kid under 8. My daughter, who is kind of short, is just big enough for these right now.

I have not seen my grandson try the stilts. His parents' comments include lack of interest when not immediately successful. More attempts will be tried, of course.

Twelve year old birthday girl and her cousins and parents had tons of fun on these stilts. Even the two year old demanded to get in on the fun-he managed with a lot of help.

My daughter, 12, took to these right away. Since Christmas, they have been out all the time. She will randomly mount the stilts and start walking about the house. She and her friends take turns using them. It is nice to see them playing with something other than an electronic device!

Some natural athletic ability does help with how quickly the child catches on, but this turned out to be an interactive toy with the one child helping the other. Exceeded my expectations.

Always on the lookout for a toy that can be used inside and outside for active boys, but will challenge them for more than a couple days. My nine year old was so excited by them and uses them every day. Older child got the hang of them right a way. Nine year old is still working on it, but understands that it takes time and is not getting frustrated. Some other comments indicated height of child was a problem and I would agree that would happen if your child is much under four feet tall regardless of age.

Great fun, when you can balance

We purchased these stilts for our 6 year old granson for Christmas'09. It took awhile for him to learn the right balance, although his 10 year old brother got it right away! According to his mom, he still gets them out about weekly to navigate their sidewalks. They are sturdy and well made and seem to keep his interest.
