My son loved this gift. Unfortunately, the locking mechanism fell off after about an hour of play. The whole thing detached from the door of the mailbox and there is no way to fix it. Very dissappointing.

Fun retro style mailbox!

Love this fun little retro style mailbox! My son loves pulling the handle and putting his money inside. The decal on the front with the postage rates is such a fun little detail. I would have to say that the only two things I would consider cons would be that the feet should have some sort of soft foam or rubber protector on them to prevent scratching if set on a dresser or shelf, and it should be available in more colors. I'd love to have a blue or green one for my other son's room. Other than that, I think its a great product for the price.

My daughter gave these mini valentines to her friends taped on a bag of chocolates. They all loved them! The valentines are unique and look hand decorated. My daughter had a lot of fun giving them out! The mailbox is just darling and very well-made. Thanks Hearthsong!

Not perfect but awesome

I bought this to be a collection spot for notes to myself - something that could sit on my desk and would be fun to look at and use. It's really adorable, but the only downside is that the right angles aren't really right angles, and it wobbles, but for the price & adorableness, I'm okay with it.

My 3 year old grandson loves mailing the little cards - but also the key. I have attached ribbons to both keys and have one in a safe place. He loves putting the letters in and taking them out again. Best part, once the novelty has worn off, it is a great bank.

I have yet to see this item, it was a gift to my brother for Valentine's day, but he absolutely loved it! He collects banks and when I saw this it was a way to add to his collection and put a smile on his face.

The one disappointment with the item was some of the Valentines had yellow envelopes. None of the kids wanted to use those. It is a strange color for Valentines Day. Why not beside the red ones use pink or even white.

I gave to both my kids for valentines day. I have children 6yrs and 16years. I told the kids to have the tiny valentines filled out by family or friends and have them date them. What a great memory and now they can use them to save money or add little notes of favorite memories.
