I purhcased this for my five year old and he LOVED it until it stopped reading the outside temperature after four weeks. Now he's very dissappointed and I am reluctant to purchase another one.

It's hard to believe my daughter actually asked for this for Xmas. A couple of other friends have them, and she wanted one too. It's great. I look at it myself sometimes to figure out how to dress for the day. It seems expensive for the size, but it's worth it for accuracy and it's not in the way.

I got one of these units for my oldest grandson who is interested in weather conditions and forecasting. I also got a unit for our home for our other grandchildren when they come over. Everyone enjoys it and it's easy to understand the numbers

We love this. I bought it as a gift for my 9 year old daughter. It displays the temperature, time and a graphic that changes depending on temperature outdoors. It was easy to set up after reading the directions a few times and comes in handy for both of us when deciding what to wear for the day. The only con I would say is set up was a little confusing at first, also had to go out and buy appropriate batteries since we didn't have the correct size at home.

The weather station did not set up the correct weather for the outside versus inside despite where I put it and that I set it up according to instructions, reset it, and tried again and again. The tech people suggested that I move it to another location but that did not work. I have since returned the product [...] My son who is 8 loved the gift and was disappointed that it never worked correctly.

No more "What is the temperature? Can I wear shorts today?" Love that it not only shows temperature, but also appropriate clothing to wear for the day's weather. Sits in our kitchen so at breakfast everyone can see what the temp is and what to wear.

I ordered three "My First Weather Stations" for grandchildren. One didn't work, son talked to customer service and received a replacement sensor--still doesn't work. Other two are okay.

Disappointing as the children liked the gift and it would have been useful had it worked.

Both of my children are old enough to understand the concept of dressing appropriately for the weather outside, and the adorable pictures of the boy and girl (we have one of each) are perfect to help them pick out their clothing for the day. The sensor is designed to be mounted, but we found that it was slim enough to sit between the screen and glass in our windows, so have placed them there. This makes is easy to pull them inside for cleaning and battery changing!

I purchased this for my grandchildren. Although they were not "thrilled" when initially opened, they use them on a daily basis. They look at them every morning to dress for school and sometimes during the day. It was a successful gift.

My four year old enjoys choosing his clothes for the day based on the "clothes" on the visual boy. Nice that you can choose either a boy or a girl, to make it more personal for your child. My husband and I like that we can tell the temperature in my son's room (which we have a hard time regulating), while still providing him with a learning tool.
