    too slow to strobe

    By Welcome Ranch

    from Dayton Minnesota

    Pros

    • Inexpensive

    Cons

    • Slow Flashing Function

    Best Uses

    • Dancing around

I remember stroblelights from the 1970s and I expected this little compact one to have a similiar action. It doesn't. Because the light flashes slowly and there is no way to adjust it, you don't get that optical illusion of choppy movement. Also the springs in the battery compartment are not tight enough to hold batteries in snugly, so if jostled around, the light won't work at all. That's when you pull out the screwdriver, and start all over again.

    Small & Cheap but works!

    By zeta

    Pros

    • Bright
    • Light
    • Small

    Cons

    • 3 Aaa Batteries Needed
    • Battery Compartment Screw
    • Cheap plastic

    Best Uses

    • Party

It's a compact item which makes it pretty portable. It works as advertised but the biggest turn offs are the need of 3 AAA batteries that are not included, the cheap plastic feel of the product, and the need of a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. A latch would've worked better for the compartment. The cheap plastic feel means that if it falls from a certain height, it seems like the plastic would crack/shatter.
