    This was given to my daughter who wanted to learn how to knit. The book contains instructions for some of the projects shown on packaging, but did not see any for the hat. The knitting needles are not pointy and the point that is there has rough edges so the yarn gets caught causing frustration (going to purchase metal needles). The basket is cute and makes it more fun for the beginner to have a place to store their supplies. The price is more for the basket than the volume of supplies. If you don't need the basket, I'd recommend going to the craft store for the supplies.

    Purchased for my 12 year old daughter. I liked the presentation of the basket to keep it all together but the hinges of the basket broke quickly. The balls of yarn are smaller than I was expecting so even the thought of knitting a simple scarf isn't that possible. My daughter likes it though!
