This has been a fun kit for our boys 7 & 11 years old. They have made numerous batches and we are now on our second kit! Adjusting the sugar and flavouring will acheive various flavours that everyone will love. We use a half cup more sugar and a teaspoon extra in flavouring for our favorite.
Our 11 year old is now using this as his Demonstration for his 4H club.

The taste was awful. We poured it all down the drain. This was a Christmas present for my son who LOVES root beer so it was disappointing.

I thought this would make a fun Christmas gift for my brother and nephew, but it was disappointing. It tasted bitter and so awful that we could not drink it. I can not recommend this.

My Husband and 7 year old made the root beer together and had alot of fun doing it. But when it came time to try it, it was not such a great experience. Root Beer was totally flat and did not taste that great.

My 12 year old received this as a Christmas gift and LOVED it! I helped him with the funnel, but otherwise he did everything by himself. First batch wasn't as carbonated as we would've liked; however, we will try to make some adjustments on the next batch. The flavor was delicious!

This was the perfect choice for my root beer loving 10 year old. Help from Dad made the not-so-clear at times directions easier to decode and the finished product was worth the wait. This kit made several 2 liter bottlefuls, and is a great value for the amount of fun (and root beer) it brings.

It was a fun afternoon preparation
The excitement with the kids over making our own soda.
The smell was true rootbeer.
Fun to check it daily if the container was hard.
End result. We thought it had a plastic taste.
But I would recomend it again for the price to see if it was just our batch

Bottling the root beer is the challenge. This kit only contains ingredients. It does not provide any assistance on bottling

We just made this rootbeer - it was a little difficult (you definitly need an adult to help) but it tasted great. The kit contains enought to make quite a bit of soda. It was a fun famioly project. (Also, it is great in rootbeer floats!)

This was a great cooking and science item. My fifth grader made 3 varieties of root beer with this kit. This kit encourages you to try different things and make your own flavors. It was great fun and the entire family enjoyed the taste test at the end. The only part we weren't happy with is the lack of ability to order more supplies through the mail.

My young children and I made several batches of root beer with this very easy to use kit. It was fun to experiment with different sweeteners and ingredient amounts. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the root beer was delicious!

My teen son got this for christmas. Him and his friend had alot of fun makeing this. They had some difficulty with measuring out for a half batch and got a little to much yeast, but was still very good.
