This porcelain tea set features a beautiful collection of Cicely Mary Barker's Flower Fairies. Each piece is hand-finished in 24k gold and-like all Reutter tea services-is food and dishwasher safe. So it's elegant, yet very practical. Large set includes four 6" plates, four 4 oz. teacups and saucers, four stainless spoons, a 5" tall teapot, sugar bowl and creamer. All neatly packed into a custom fabric-sided suitcase container.
For ages 5 and up.

Comments about HearthSong Large Flower Fairy Tea Set:
My children love this tea set. We own two plastic Disney Princess tea sets, and while they are non-breakable, I was not happy about the idea of serving hot tea in them. This porcelain set is exactly what I was looking for. It is comparable in size to the plastic set, which is perfect, because when your little one spills their tea, you don't want more than a couple ounces of hot liquid running all over the place. The tea pot fills about four of the tea cups included to full before you need to top it off again, though I usually only fill the cups halfway (thinking of spills again). While I would not recommend handing the set over to a small child for them to play with their dolls (saving the plastic sets for that), this set is perfect for what I wanted - a beautiful BPA-free tea set for hot tea with Mommy. My only (minor) complaint is the packaging. The storage box is beautiful, but unless you save the black foam packaging (which I did), you cannot carry it using the handle. I am keeping mine in the bottom of my china cabinet on its side, but I see myself forgetting not to use the handle and all the tea cups, tea pot, and creamer crashing all over inside. If the handle were on the side, or there was no handle at all, or if the set were better secured inside, I would have no complaint whatsoever.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
