Why are there so many different breeds of dog? Dogs have interesting genealogies, many of which are surrounded by legend, and all of which involve close ties to people! We've traced those of five familiar, favorite, but very different breeds of dog from all around the globe, and reproduced the dogs in plush as faithfully as possible (though we included cute hats and removable coats and fabric houses to keep the most imaginative legends alive). For ages 3 and up.

My son is almost 2, and has two of the dogs of the world, the Husky and the Chihuahua. He has named them, and enjoys dressing them and feeding them. He has learned about Igloo's and Casa's, sled dogs and ponchos. He plays with the dogs in the houses they came in, but also uses the dogs in play with other toys. They are also great travel toys, lightweight, small, and you can stuff other things inside their houses too.

Very sweet; collector's item
My 5 year old grandaughter loved the French poodle as a welcome addition to her dog collection. And it was shared by our new Standard French Poodle puppy.

Adorable and fun
The kids just love these dogs. I got the chihuahua and the husky for both kids. They adore them.

My daughter collected them all. She is a dog lover, and she learned about dog breeds as well as the countries they came from.

We purchased 2 of these dog sets: the Husky for our 9 year old daughter and the Sharpei as a charitable donation for our school's Chinese New Year Festival raffle. In both cases, the dogs were a big hit. The Husky was a sweet reminder of a sled dog ride in Alaska my daughter took with her grandmother last summer. She loves to play with the dog and its igloo while remembering all the dogs and puppies she met. The Sharpei was hot at our elementary school where Chinese is taught to all the students. These toys mix play and learning by reinforcing any global curriculum, travel experience or interest your child may have.
