Comments about Product: The Dressmaking Workshop was great for my granddaughter. She LOVED it and I feel it was a great started for a beginner sewer. EVERYthinG I bought from Heartsong was exceptional values and top quality. All my granddaughters loved your exclusive design kits. The fairy, equestrian and fashions ones were loved and used immediately after opening on Christmas Eve. Thank you for carrying quality toys that are as creative as they make the children be!!!!
Comments about Product: I bought this for my 7yo daughter for Christmas, as she loves to make dollclothes. However, this machine is worthless even as a toy. It is very cheaply made. There is no bobbin thread, so the stitching pulls out as you removed the fabric from underneath the presser foot. The "pedal" is actually designed like a computer mouse, so you have to use one hand for this and are left with only one hand to sew. There is only one speed, which is very fast, and is very difficult for little hands to control. Both my mother and I have been sewing since children, and we could not make this work for anything - we and my daughter were very frustrated and disappointed with it. I will be returning it this week. I bought a basic full-size machine to replace this.
Comments about Product: I knew that this would just be a toy and not a real sewing machine. However, it is very poorly designed. The instructions are awful. The needle is hidden behind plastic, which is great for safety but makes it almost impossible to thread. I needed a flashlight and tweezers. It won't consistently sew. The thread breaks about every 2 inches. You have to press a button on a mouse to run the machine with one hand and control the fabric with the other hand. It is far too awkward for an adult, much less a child. It wouldn't even work well enough to sew one of the tiny doll dresses. Needs to be returned.
