Wooden fabric-covered shelf folds out to create a sturdy stage for puppet performances. Jumbo pockets sewn onto the back of the theater provide easy access to puppets and props.       Since the first time I set this theatre up for our 3 children (7y,4y, and 2y old), we've had some great puppet shows. This very much encourages child (and parent LOL) creativity. We all take turns putting on a show. It REALLY is a family entertainment.

      A great idea, but how many of us actually have a dedicated doorway that allows us to leave this up? So I found myself taking it down all the time and only putting it up at specific times, which means there was not much spontaneous play. Plus children have to be very careful not to push down when performing because the rod does not hold well- should have been spring loaded instead. I ended up finally hanging it from ropes in my drop ceiling basement. Allowed kids to play without having to be super careful on pushing down. But now I'm worried about the drop ceiling.....

        My daughters and the neighbors love to direct puppet shows with this adorable doorway theater. We have the problem when a child leans too hard on the stage, the whole thing falls. We are trying to figure out a better way of installing it to the doorway because it is a favorite!

              I was so excited to give this to my little girl for Christmas and she was very excited when she opened it. We, like many others, can not get it to stay up. The rod does not work well, it falls down all of the time.

                    My girls ages 5 and 3 love this item. They love taking turns giving shows. It holds thier attention for a good hour. I would give it four stars but the bar it comes with for installation in the doorway does not work well. I bought a cheap tension curtain rod to replace it and now it doesnt fall down every time they bump it.
