My granddaughter loves fairies and she loves to draw so this present was perfect for her. She loves it and will sit and draw with it after school. The only thing I didn't like about it is that the templates are kind of flimsy and won't hold up long with a 5-yr old playing with them. I laminated them and they should last much longer. Other then that it is a great product.

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter as she is fairy obsessed and she LOVED it! She sat right down and with minimal instruction, got to the business of creating. This keeps her entertained for LONG periods of time, and I love that she's creating and designing and gets to use her imagination, as well. She designs her fairies, gives them names, decides on their talents and even makes them as gifts for friends/family members. I can't say enough about how great this has been for her, she loves doing creative things and combining that with fairies made for the perfect surprise for her!!

I gave this to my 5 year old granddaughter for Christmas who likes to do crafts and draw. She and her older sister like anythng to do with fairies. She needed a little help at first to trace but then caught on quickly. She could select her own dresses to trace and color combinations. If you run out of paper, you can easily go to a craft store to buy more vellum paper.It can be completed fairly quickly. I bought the horse one for her older sister but she also enjoyed the fairy one.

My 7 year old daughter loves this Fairy Kit! She got it for Christmas and it was the one gift on Christmas morning that kept her attention. I was really impressed with the quality of everything that I ordered from HearthSong for Christmas. When I placed the order, I didn't realize that the Fairy Design Kit came in a nice, sturdy case that holds all the templates, pencils, tracing paper, etc., which makes it great for travel and storage. We also ordered the metallic pencils to go with it which my daughter also loved. It is a great gift especially if you have a child that loves Fairies and loves to draw. We will definitely be ordering the other Design kits.

This fairy design kit is simply awesome! My 5 year old has really enjoyed drawing these fairies. Even my 3 year old can do it. It has been their favorite Christmas present. The case to store everything is a big bonus. The fairies really turn out quite beautiful. Very entertaining!

We love the design kits from Hearthsong!! These encourage their ability to plan, put their ideas on paper and decourate. We have used the other kits: cars, airplanes, fashion, horses and houses. The kits are easy to carry and ours always come with us on vacations. We have also used them on some school projects! Your family will love this!

This is a very cute set. The Fairy's faces are sweet and there a many options. You might want to buy additional vellum.

I recommended this gift for my daughter's 6th birthday, but was disappointing in the quality of the fairy designs stencils. The term stencils in the description led me to believe the drawings to copy were on hard plastic- but in fact they are on glossy heavy paper- a little thicker than magazine pages. I am going to laminate the stencils so they'll last longer than the paper itself. The other items in the kit are of good quality. I think it's overpriced in that regard, I wish the stencils were sturdier.

I gave this as a gift to my youngest, who was 6. She loves it. She and her 12 year old sister play together. It's great to take in the car, or to use as a quiet toy. The colored pencils work well, and are easy to replace if lost or used up.

I bought this for my daughter (9) for a gift and she has played with it consistently. She both loves fairies and clothing design, so it was right up her alley. She has created some really beautiful things with it and even pasted some in a book that she keeps of her designs. For her it is a "spark" that helps her get started creating even more elaborate designs.
