1. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD: The HearthSong® 25th Anniversary Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins at 12:00:01 A.M. ET on 8/11/08 and ends at 11:59:59 P.M. ET on 12/31/08 ("Promotional Period").
2. HOW TO ENTER: During the Promotional Period visit www.hearthsong.com/hearthsong/sweepstakes and fill in all required entry information. Limit one entry per person per email address per day. More than one entry from any person or e-mail address will void all entries from that person or e-mail address. Use of computer programs and/or other automated devices to enter Sweepstakes is prohibited. Sponsor may also ask optional questions. Completion of
these questions is not required to enter the Sweepstakes. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your on-line service will apply.
3. PRIZES AND APROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (ARV): Grand Prize (1): A fifteen thousand dollar ($15,000.00 USD) deposit into the 529 College Savings Plan of winner's choice for a child aged 12 years or younger as of 12/31/08 (ARV $15,000 USD). First Prize (2): A five thousand dollar ($5,000.00 USD) deposit into the 529 College Savings Plan of winner's choice for a child aged 12 years or younger as of 12/31/08 (ARV $5,000 USD each). Second prize (25): Prize Packages will include: $50 HearthSong® Gift Certificate, $10 Cheryl & Co® Gift Certificate, $20 Fannie May® Gift Card, $25 GreatFood.com® Gift Certificate, $50 Martha Stewart for 1-800 Flowers.com® Gift Card, Bravo Family Pack Popcorn Tin from The Popcorn Factory® (Product #C5920, $29.99 value), Cocoa-Latte Maker from Plow & Hearth® (Product #80267, $39.95 value), Woodland Friends Doll Set from Magic Cabin® (Product #825493, $39.98 value), My First Weather Station (weather boy) from Wind & Weather® (Product # ID2617, $39.95 value). (ARV of each complete Prize Package is $304.91 USD). The Grand and First Prizes will consist of a college scholarship for the amount listed above which will
be contributed to a new or pre-existing qualified 529 college savings plan identified by the winner (winners are responsible for identifying/establishing a qualified 529 plan with the financial institution of their choice). A winner must designate that the prize be awarded for the benefit of a third party child aged 12 years or younger as of 12/31/08 for application toward such person's qualified 529 plan. Use of scholarship funds is subject to federal, state and individual plan restrictions on such 529 plans (and may vary depending on the particular 529 plan chosen by the winners). Sponsor is not responsible for the 529 plan chosen by winner or for any investment decisions made with respect to the prize money. Winner will be responsible for full management of account subject to brokerage terms. Winner must enter into an agreement with the applicable fund/account, or be bound by their standard terms and conditions, as applicable, and winner agrees to adhere to all obligations relating thereto. Winner is responsible for maintenance of the account and all
decisions relating thereto. Winner will also be responsible for any fees, costs, liabilities, or expenses in excess of the sum provided by Sponsor hereunder, or any losses which occur with respect to the account. Second Prizes' are subject to any expiration dates and additional restrictions that may apply to Gift Certificates/Gift Cards.
4. WINNER SELECTION AND ODDS: Winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Drawing will be conducted on or about 1/15/09, by a representative of Don Jagoda Associates, Inc., whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received. Prizes will be awarded and potential winners will be notified by phone, mail or e-mail. Prizes are nontransferable and no cash substitution is allowed except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to award prizes of equal or greater value if advertised prizes are unavailable.
5. GENERAL RULES: Taxes, related to the prizes are the winners' sole responsibility, if applicable. Prize winners will be required to execute and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release (where legal) within 10 days of notification attempt or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. The prize will be deposited into the 529 plan of winner's choice of a child aged 12 years or younger. If potential winner cannot provide prize to a child aged 12 or younger (for any reason), prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be chosen. Return of any prize or prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and alternate selection. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner's name, likeness, and
biographical information for promotional purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law. By entering, entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these OFFICIAL RULES and winners release Sponsor, and their subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents and all others associated with the development and execution of the Sweepstakes from any and all liability for damages, losses or injury resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of prize. Entries will be declared to be made by the authorized account. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access provider, Online Service provider, or other organization (e.g., business or educational institution) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Entries are subject to verification of eligibility and will be declared invalid if they are incomplete, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or website; violates the OFFICIAL RULES; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Sponsor and its agencies are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected or damaged entries due to technical, hardware or software malfunctions, telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender, by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes which may limit the ability to participate, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Sweepstakes if it is not capable of completion as planned, including for infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures or corruption of any sort, and award prizes from eligible entries received prior to cancellation. Void where prohibited.
6. ELIGIBILITY: This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States, including the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older or the age of legal majority in their state of residence as of date of entry. Employees and families of The Children's Group, Inc., its parent, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates and related companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate families are ineligible. All United States federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: THE CHILDREN'S GROUP, INC. NOR THEIR AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, PARENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, OR AFFILIATED
COMPANIES, AS WELL AS, THEIR ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES SHALL HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF OPPORTUNITY OR GOODWILL. IN ALL EVENTS, THE SOLE MAXIMUM LIABILITY OF SPONSOR AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE ARV OF THE PRIZES SET FORTH HEREIN.
11. GOVERNING LAW & VENUE: THE NEW YORK COURTS (STATE & FEDERAL) SHALL HAVE SOLE JURISDICTION OF ANY CONTROVERSIES
REGARDING THE PROMOTION AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK SHALL GOVERN THE SAME. EACH ENTRANT WAIVES ANY AND ALL OBJECTIONS TO JURISDICTION AND HEREBY IRREVOCABLY SUBMITS TO THE VENUE OF THOSE COURTS WITHIN THE COUNTIES
