  • Young kids will "crack up" when they play this amusing game. Six eggs with funny faces peer mischievously from their carton, waiting for a child to crack them open and—surprise!—find the colorful chick inside. The chicks will peep if kids press on their heads, and kids will giggle even more. Great for encouraging coordination and sorting skills for young eggheads.

Our children had a set of these when they were little, and each in turn loved to play with them. Now we're supplying great-nephews and grandkids. For fun with fringe- educational benefits, this set of little cuties is hard to beat. The shapes on the bottom of each egg match the indentations in the bottom of the box, and need to for each egg to go back in its place. The faces on the egg-hats match the faces on the top of the colored chicks, and can but need not be matched to fit. The possibilities for play and learning are legion, and if by chance in putting them neatly away you push down on your chicks, they even squeak. Half the fun is putting them in the shape-sorting box, which is instant clean-up, so children actually WANT to put these toys away. And the colorful chicks are adorable in and of themselves, and stimulate great imaginative play. They're also much more easily cleanable than stuffed toy chicks would be, and so much more sanitary. No small parts to lose, or swallow (unless you let your kids loose with a screw driver). And our first set lasted through one girl and two rough and tough boys, and is still in good enough condition to be passed on to the next generation. I'd call that great value, and great fun. We never had a problem with them either, though as I mentioned, I could see someone pinching a finger in the lid, or possibly stepping on one of the 'eggs' and slipping and crashing, but again, we never had any trouble. (May have just been lucky.)
