            I bought this for my daughter as a gift. I followed the directions exactly using dishsoap and waiting the alloted time, then and plugged it in. It worked on its own for a few minutes, then the 'lava' got clogged. My daughter or I had to keep turning it off and shaking it upside down to dislodge the clogged 'lava.' Would have been cool if it worked. I returned it.

                        I bought this mini volcano for my son's 8th birthday. Since he loves science,he was fascinated by this product. It is "mini", I would have liked the larger version, but it was unavailable. He was concerned about wasting the batteries (4 AA), so he tends to only use it for a short while at a time. The directions don't tell you how much water to use and if it needs to be cleaned out.Otherwise it is a cute product and fun to watch.
