Small, not impressive and loud

I bought this for my 11 year old son. He looked at the box - he was not interested. However, I was curious to see it in action. It is easy to set up, but it is smaller than expected. The tank itself is a little more than 5" tall; what makes up the rest of the size is a 1" clear frame around the tank and the motor on the base. The tank is not impressive, the jellyfish are not impressive and their movement is caused by the motor blowing up some air every 4-5 seconds. Lastly, the motor cuts on every 4-5 seconds and stays on for about 8-10 seconds and when on, it is loud. It is a humming noise that is very distracting if in a room such as a bedroom or office. If you are looking for something quiet and soothing ... This is not for you. Check out reviews on amazon to read more of the same.

Got it for granddaughter and the whole family enjoyed setting it up. It is to go in her room, but haven't moved it out of the family room yet, as we all love watching the jellyfish.
