  • Since the 1920s, when the pogo stick first appeared, kids of all ages have tried to master the skill and balance necessary to bounce. Available in small (44-86 lbs.) or large (86-160 lbs.), so siblings and friends of different heights and ages can all experience the action.

This improved, high-quality design also has four handgrips to accommodate different heights. And, after a little bit of practice, kids can get the Jumperoo Boing bouncing up to 2 feet high!

    For ages 5 and up.

    History behind the pogo stick:
A German man named George Hansburg originally exported a wooden pogo stick to the US-based Gimble Brothers Department Store back in 1920. Unfortunately, the wood rotted and warped on its ocean journey, so he contacted a toy designer to improve the design with an all-metal, enclosed-spring pogo stick, and patented his design.
To promote the toy, Hansburg was able to teach the famous Ziegfield's Follies how to pogo. The Follies' pogo antics inspired people everywhere to jump on the trend, creating all kinds of pogo tricks and stunts.

      Comments about HearthSong Jumperoo Boing:

My 12 year old got the one that he was barely into, weight-wise, and initially found it quite difficult to get going. He eventually got on to it, and really enjoyed going out and using it -- challenging himself to do more and more jumps in a row until he was into the 100's.

Unfortunately, the rubber tip split and broke off very early on, and bouncing on the metal end was both noisy and damaging. I'm in the process of looking for a replacement tip, because he misses this thing so much.

        Comments about HearthSong Jumperoo Boing:

Great birthday present for a 7 year old! It's exciting to jump so high, but it takes time and practice to jump without an adult holding the pogo stick. All moving parts are covered to prevent pinches. The steps are wide so are easy to keep the feet on.

          Comments about HearthSong Jumperoo Boing:

This product was impossible for a 50 lb. child to use. It did not spring at all! It is too heavy & cumbersome for a child of the advertised weight. What a disappointment. We sent it back.
