Kids can invent cool patterns to lace with the set's seven, plastic-tipped laces (and improve fine motor skills), or they can create colorful adventures on paper (and learn art skills) by tracing and coloring the animals. Made in the USA. The first Lauri product was created in 1961 in Haverhill, Massachusetts by a retired schoolteacher who saw learning potential even in crepe-rubber slipper soles, and converted them into puzzles. From that moment on, Lauri manufactured innovative products primarily for schools. Teachers loved the puzzle's "logical piece" concept, where each piece consists of a single, solid color and represents a specific shape. These puzzles have become classics, first winning national recognition in 1977, and continuing to earn awards.
