Great product! My 3 year old and 8 year old both love it. There were small easy pieces that my 3 year old could "help" with. The 8 year old can put it together, and it is sturdy cardboard, but kids like to rush, so the cardboard does get a bit bent. Very open-ended and stylish looking.

I got this for my 4-year old for the holidays. She loves it but it is already pretty much used up (May). It is made of cardboard and bends when little hands, or big ones for that matter, are trying to put it together. In addition, it is set up for building fun play structures, but they don't survive like a play structure needs to because the cardboard is flimsy. My daughter is really gentle with her toys, and I think this is the first one we won't pass on because it won't be worth anything. Not worth the price. Bummer.

          Comments about HearthSong Habitadule™:

First of all, for such an expensive and aesthetically pleasing toy, I my hopes were high. This product is made of cardboard - NOT corrugated plastic (which would have made it a little more durable). It is extremely difficult to get the grooves to match up. It was a challenge for me to construct, never mind the time the children had with it. The flimsy materials plus the complicated construction make it a terrible toy for children!

            Comments about HearthSong Habitadule™:

I purchased this product since my 3 year old loves building forts and I was tired of having the sofa cushions dragged all through the house. She loves it!!

She loves building forts and "castles" and it's become her little hideaway nook for napping or coloring. She also does lots of imaginative play with different toys "living in the castle." I've also found that my dog likes to snuggle in there as well. There are lots of configurations you could try, but my daughter is into building her forts.

Just 2 things to keep in mind - if your child likes to keep her creations up, you'll need to dedicate some space for this toy. Also, some of the edges are bending. This might be an issue if your child tends to be hard on their things.

Overall, this is an excellent product and we will most likely purchase a second set for her.

            Comments about HearthSong Habitadule™:

We've barely used it since we purchased and opened it because I'm worried about it being ruined. I expected it to be made of more durable material - more similar to the Connectagons. Quite a bit of money to pay for some colored cardboard. We didn't return it because it was a gift from Santa.

            Comments about HearthSong Habitadule™:

My 6 year old uses the modular pieces as shelves, walls, his office, a laboratory, anything and everything. The pieces are light enough for him to manipulate by himself. Younger kids may bend the tab/slot ends. For the price, I would have liked a stronger cardboard, but I couldn't figure out a way to make this myself.

                  Comments about HearthSong Habitadule™:

A great concept and we thoroughly enjoy them, but there really are too few to build a small fort which is what I think most kids will want to do with them. We can make a 3 sided shelter, but it would be a vast improvement if there were more pieces.

This has been a fun toy, and the design makes it pretty versatile and the kids have had fun with it. However, for the price, I was not expecting cardboard. I don't think the product description was accurate at all. If your kids are rough on their toys, I wouldn't reccommend this product because it won't last all that long.
