    Designer Bio
    Chris, designer of our animal ponchos, is the mother of 2 girls who love dress-up and crafts. Her inspiration came from a store-bought costume that needed a little tweaking for her daughter's preschool Halloween party.

    After a few hours of using simple craft skills, she created a dinosaur poncho. Her girls loved playing in the costume so much, they wanted more - and after they expressed their own ideas, other designs soon followed.

    We purchased the green set for a dinosaur play at school. We were pleased with the product & the directions were very easy to follow. My complaint on this item was the glue. The glue did not hold pieces together, or the spots on the poncho. In a last minute effort to make the costume work, we hot-glued all of the pieces which worked really well. In opening the package I was pleased to see the mfg included glue, but it was very ineffective. I would not have minding assembling this with hot glue to begin with had we know that was the most effective way to put it together.

    I purchased two for Halloween costumes, then another. I found these easy to assemble - just took a bit of time. I made sure to tie the ties very tightly and have had no issues with them coming undone. The glue sometimes needed an extra application to stick well. And after the costumes were used for trick-or-treating and became play costumes, the glue still sometimes needs re-application.

    I love the idea of this costume and my daughter and I had fun putting it together as instructed. However when we went Trick-or-Treating the knotted fringes fell apart repeatedly and I ended up carrying it instead of her wearing it. The cape really needs to be sewed as well as tied with the fringes. Once I sewed the edges together it looked great, just wish I knew that before Halloween.
