Nylon Canvas HugglePod™HangOut with LED Lights

The HuddlePod is such a great concept and my kids do love it. I cannot believe how thin the canvas is!! Mine has ripped all around the door and window openings and so has the cushion in the bottom and stuffing is falling out.I have sewn both back once and it has happened again, already. We have only had this since 2012 Christmas. I have a 7, 5 and 2 year old and they all love it and all fit in it at once. I do not believe they are overly rough with it, since it was made for children to sit and play in. Overall I am very disappointed with the quality.

We hung this in our backyard on a covered porch attached to our garage. Our 4 & 6 year old kids absolutely love it! It's a great product idea, and though we had a problem with a seam splitting, I was perfectly happy to take a replacement instead of a return/refund because I'm hoping that was just bad luck. I want my kids to be able to have one of these in our backyard to play with.

This thing is very well made of, what seems to be, durable canvas. It has interior metal ring supports at top and bottom that keep the shape. There is a large fluffy fill pad that is stuffed into a zipped pouch under floor.

The LED light string is fragile and easy to get very tangled up. The product reads that the LED string is not for outdoor use. This will be a problem as it is not designed to be removed and reinstalled.

Assembly was incredibly difficult. You will absolutely hate velcro when you're done! The bottom ring is in four pieces. Each is inserted into a canvas tunnel and fastened to its neighbors. This process was quite painful as the metal hoop pieces are inserted into styrofoam pads, all of which must get thread through the tunnels.

The light string installation was an absolute bear. Jammed under the top ring and covered by the world's strongest velcro are about 17 million (or maybe it was only 20) little velcro straps that must be exposed. First you have to release the velcro cover over the top hoop. Then you have to find some way to peel the velcro strap (hooks) off of the cover velcro (loops). Expect to loose finger nails. Expect to bleed. Expect to curse.

Oh, and all of the above takes place inside of a canvas bag. Expect to sweat. Liberally. Profusely. Keep towels handy for sweat and blood.

So, after all of the above, would I do it again? Absolutely. My son ***LOVES*** it. Just set your expectations on time (30 minutes or more) and effort (extreme) required for assembly. Personally, I do not believe any of the reviewers that said they had it done within five minutes of opening the box. That is absurd.

I purchased this for my son who is Autistic and loves to be enclosed. He loves it. The only issue I have is with the stand. The instructions on putting it together were not clear. For instance, there were some screws you had to take out but they did not mention that to you and it was difficult to even tell if you could take them out. I finially figured it out and the stand is great too! Overall, it is a great product and highly recommend this for anyone!

I really love this outdoor hangout. My kids love it too. They lost interest when they discovered that it is not very sturdy. It will tip if only one child is in it. If the children are not centered it tips and swayes a lot.
The bar in the seat area has bent already, with well under the 250lb limit. I am only dissapointed in that aspect of this product. If your children are very light weight, maybe under 50lbs, it would work for them.
I still love this toy, and will see if I can fix the bent bar in the seat.
I recommend this product with more limitations on it.

Fairly easy to install. Enjoyed by my kids ages 3-14, but especially the 3 and 6 y.o. girls! I think we will have lots of hours in this when the weather warms up a bit.

My daughter received this for Christmas,and she absolutely loves it. She has already spent many hours snuggled inside, reading, playing and enjoying her own private place. The only negative is that I wish I had ordered the stand so it could be more portable.

I gave one of these to my 10 year old for Christmas. She loves it and says it's the best Christmas present ever! The set up was really simple, we used the Tree Hugger straps sold here. There's plenty of room for both of us to hang out and move around. Our weight combined is about 200 lbs. It held us both with no problem. It's very strong and simply adorable!

We bought this for our 7 and 4 year old for Christmas (we also purchased the stand because we are using it indoors - there is no hook that comes with the stand and one can easily be purchased from a hardware store, however we neglected to notice this fact until 11:30 pm on Christmas Eve - a temporary rope was used until we could purchase one). The product is well made, easy to set-up, and HUGE - seriously, I think we could add three more children comfortably. It was their favortie toy and they have already spent many happy hours playing together. If you have any problems with this product Hearth Song has fantastic customer serivce as well (a rarity in this day and age).

My sister and I would build hanging hideouts when we were younger using old blankets hanging down from our bunk bed. This reminds me of all the fun we had when we were kids. My kids absolutely love it, its a hideout, its a tent, its a swing. We hung it inside and I plan to buy another one for the outside when its gets warmer. My sister also plans on buying one herself. Does not get any better than this.

There is nothing provided to actually attach the HugglePod to the stand, so you have to buy/make your own. Very heavy, would destroy a wood floor without a rug under it. Minimal instructions for assembly.

We received the HugglePod to review and just absolutely LOVE it. It is huge - so big I could barely hold it up high enough to get it off the ground! (I'm 5'4") and it took just a few minutes to get it up in our tree. We did have to buy our own hardware to install but it literally took less than 5 minutes to hang. It's made of a very high quality durable canvas and we've had no issues leaving it out in the rain. My kids have spent hours and hours on their HugglePod already and it can easily fit 4-5 small kids in it! I definitely recommend it.
