My grandson is above average in height but at the lowest seat level he still cannot reach the ground easily enough to ride this yet. Purchased for his 2nd birthday. Consider a little older child.

          Comments about Skuut:

We bought the Skuut for our then two year old, thinking it would teach him balance. We considered it very expensive, but he LOVES it. It is easy for him to use, small enough to stick in the car to take along and very well made.

Our son is really learning balance and we think he may not need training wheels when he moves to a small bike. Did I mention that he loves it? This has been one of the best purchases we have made for our kids recently.

My son loves his Skuut bike! It took a few attempts to get used to sitting and skuuting at the same time, but now he loves to ride it every day. We can see his sense of balance being developed, and look forward to passing it down to our next child!

Was really easy to assemble, was for my just turn 3 year old boy for Chrismas. almost June now, used it once for 5 minutes and ask for a real bike like the big brother! I like the idea, but I gues for a first child it it great. but for a 3 year old boy with a brother that's 1 year older......don't think so!!! he want the big bike like his big Bro! And for a [$], I could of almost buy 2 starter bike. so, get it for an only child that does'nt compete with the sibblings :) -Isabelle mom of 3 boys, 4,3,1

This bike has proven to be one of the best gifts ever. My 3 1/2 year old son has loved it since the day he got it from Santa. He wants to ride it any chance he gets. It is a great size to transport wherever we go, stores nicely and needs zero maintenance. He certainly turns heads and everyone always stops us to ask....."where did we get that unique bike". We can see that he will be ready to have a real bike and be an early, confident rider by his next birthday!

We got this as a Christmas present for my 3 year old. I was hesitant at first because we have so many other riding toys (trikes, scooters, etc..) but it has been worth it. It worked in the house for a couple weeks while we were snowed in but it is now a strictly outside toy. He's developed great balance so I'm sure the transition to a pedal bike will be easy, though I can see him fitting on and riding this for at least another year. He's able to ride around and keep up with his older siblings on their real bikes. He rides it all the time. Love it!
