Flingshot space monkeys have the same aerodynamics as our best-selling flingshot monkeys, but they're decked out in space gear so they're ready to be sling-shot into the stratosphere. Actually, they soar up to 50 feet and make a silly screeching sound in flight. Each has metallic silver moon boots and a matching space pack and space helmet. Peering through the bubbles of their space helmets, you get a glimpse into their true character. Put your fingers into their front mitt pockets, aim for the sky, then pull back and release for blast off! This monkey business is irresistibly hilarious for boys and girls ages 5 and up. Available Colors Blue has a big toothy grin Brown has a cute cheeky smile Pink has red lips and eyelashes Red looks a little scared to fly! Size 11-1/2"

These were gag gifts to my sons and son in law for Christmas--a tradition started by my husband many years ago--the "boys" and their children had a great time playing with these monkeys in the front yard on Christmas Eve. I am sure my husband was smiling from heaven!! The grand kids loved them too when they got their chance to use them.

I bought these for my special-needs preschoolers (4-5yr olds). They did not have the hand/finger strength or coordination to "launch" them like slingshots. But, they loved trying, often simply tossing them in the air & enjoying the sound effects as the monkeys fell back to the ground.

Grandkids, 8 and 5, enjoyed monkeys.

Comments about HearthSong Flying Space Monkeys:
Monkeys looked appealing; kids liked that each was different. Flying idea was fun. 5 and 8-y-o grandkids really seemed to enjoy them. But they didn't always fly well. 5-y-o especially had trouble. Adults found the monkeys' "scream" annoying.

We bought these for the kids at Christmas, but they were a huge hit for all ages. Everyone got a kick out of them.

These looked really cute, and I had 4 kids to buy for- so different colors were great. They lasted about 2 weeks before hands started falling off, and the helmets cracked. The kids enjoyed playing with them. I am glad that I purchased them when they were marked down.

super fun

These little creatures provide lots of fun monkey-slinging action! You can have contests on which monkey flies the farthest, sneak up a sling a monkey - lots of fun! They are a bit louder than we expected, but that is part of the shock of having a monkey fling by!
Fun & funny!

My nephews (ages 4/5/7/8) and niece/daughter (ages 8/4) all love this product. The younger ones found it a bit hard to shoot across room but with help from older cousins & parents we had a blast. Great activity for parents & kids together! Funny sounds as whiz across room!

The only downside is that you have to buy a pack of four.

Well made and fun for kids

Gave them to my kids at Christmas. They really just get the monkey to make the sound and don't really fling them. It is very difficult for younger children to fling the monkeys. Their hands just can't do it.

We really enjoyed this toys. The kids had a good time flinging them outside. Our only problem was the flying monkey with the plastic face helmet. His face plate crackked the first time he landed on the sidewalk.

Eveeryone loves these monkeys. They do what they're supposed to do: make noise, fly into the lamp, and scare the dogs!
Broke the first use

My 8 year old niece was very excited to find a Flingshot Space Monkey as a gift to her. It's a cute small monkey dressed up in a space suit and ready to fly out of this world...but it didn't. The very first time we used it the rubber sling broke; my niece is very tiny so I know it wasn't because of excessive force. [...] I haven't seen the new monkey in action yet but I hope it works!

Ready your earplugs!
By Mom of a monkey lover

Just like the regular flying monkeys; this toy is really fun and clever, but the "screech" that comes from it is very, very loud. Worst of all, there is no way to turn it off while it is "screeching" nor to prevent it from "screeching" while you play. Like most kids, mine have left these things on the floor; one toe in the middle of the night and this thing is waking up the whole house! Fun when in use, but keep them packed away while not played with!

Flying Fun

I was afraid that the late adolescents were too cool for toys. These monkeys proved me wrong. I brought out the basket with four monkeys in it and let the kids each pick one. They were reluctant to be seen with these silly-looking stuffed toys - until I grabbed one and sling-shoted it screaming across the room and had to rescue it from the dog. They/we had monkey games all night. Everyone had a really good time.
