I bought this for my five year old grandson. It is safe to play inside and out. I had one of these when I waa a child and enjoyed it a lot. We played with it in the living room, no worry about breaking anything and it is great for eye/hand coordination. During the electronic age, this is a great gift that uses no electricity or batteries, it is totally human powered.

Grandson's favorite toy

This was purchased as a "little extra" gift for Christmas, for my two, 2-year old grandsons, and they ignored the more elaborate, expensive gifts and played with this for hours. They each loved just shooting the ball up into the air and then running to find it. An older brother borrowed it and played with his father in a shoot-catch manner. This is a fabulous gift and such a great value!
