I was a little worried when I read the other reviews of this piano mat, so I insisted that we test it out before giving it to our amazing 3-year old buddy. We put the batteries in and I stepped on it by accident, and 2 grown-ups ran around on it for quite a while before boxing it back up to wrap.It was the hit of the party the next day. Everyone tried it out. So what if it made of plastic? You're supposed to step and jump on it. And slide. :-) it held up after hours of people from 2 years old to 68 years old playing on it. If you are on the fence about this purchase - get it! However long it lasts, I feel like I have already gotten a great bargain in terms of fun per dollar.
