There is no motion activated feature on this product. Except for that, it performs well.

My son (age 6) wanted this for Christmas and was very happy to have it. It truly creates a 'rainbow'. We use it most nights as a fade out nightlight for our toddler (age 2). Unfortunately you can only override the 10 minute timer by purchasing an AC adapter.
I was disappointed with the flimsy plastic construction, I expected more for the price I paid.

This product is wonderful! You can adjust the size of the rainbow from tiny to all across the room depending where you set it. It turns off by itself so you never have to remember to shut it off. My children go to sleep with it. Wonderful!

This product was a terrible purchase. My daughter was dying for this for Christmas and was really excited about it. It was nice while it worked, but the first light burned out within two weeks of my daughter receiving the gift. After four months, we were down to two functioning lights. [...]. Save your money and look for another night light.

We have it on the girls' dresser and turn it on at bedtime. They fall asleep to it. It helps with the bedtime routine and they love to quietly stare at the rainbow going across their wall. Very helpful to calm them down and get into sleep mode.

My 7 yo daughter was dying for this! It was a bit disappointing when we got it. You can barely see the rainbow across the room even in complete darkness it is very faint. The only way it works well is if it is close to the ceiling. We recently purchased bunk beds and we put it on a shelf for the top bunk and you can now see the rainbow clearer on the ceiling, but it is small not across the whole room. Also battery operated, not able to plug it in.
