VERY disappointed. This is the first review I have ever written on a product. My son also asked Santa for a RC crane. We purchased this item and he had his first disappointment in a toy at Christmas. Crane moved so slowly you didn't know it was moving. Even with the stabilizers at the base it would tip over because of the weight of the battery box. Remote & crane would quit responding to eachother. Poor instructions, etc. VERY DISAPPOINTED

There were no reviews when I purchased this item so I went on blind faith. This was a gift from Santa for our 4 year old. When it arrived, we were very impressed with how it looked. However, once we put batteries in, we were very disappointed with the "mechanics". It moves PAINFULLY slow. We discovered this Christmas Eve as we were putting it together for "Santa". This was the one thing he wanted most but now plays with the least due to poor functionality. Super bummed out.

Santa has brought my 4-year old a toy that just doesn't work very well and he is truly disappointed. If it hadn't come from Santa, it would be returned. The remote is easy to use, but the string twists causing the hook to get stuck and then you can't raise and lower it at all. You can hold the hook so the string doesn't twist, but it's supposed to be remote control! Also, there is a switch on top of the crane to EITHER move back and forth OR up and down. So every time you want to change function, you need to manually switch it. Why wouldn't that be controlled on the remote control? Overall this toy is not worth it because it just doesn't work well and only frustrates a 4-year old who wanted nothing more than a r/c crane for Christmas.
