We purchased this digger for my son's 4th birthday since he loves playing with this type of toy at the park. Due to our crummy Wisconsin weather, he wasn't able to take it outside at the time of his March birthday. That didn't seem to be a problem! He was able to scoop up matchbox cars and other toys with no problem! We have now moved the digger outside to the sandbox and is a hit out there too! Well priced product.

I have never ordered from hearth song before but I am very impressed. Great quality well worth the price. My son loves it he has used it inside and can't wait to use it outside after the snow melts. My son is 3 and loves it and my daughter can use it too and she is 5. My 10 year old has also played with it a couple times and it is durable enough for him to use it as well.

Light weight and simple. Not sure if it will ultimately hold up to my 4-year-old, but great fun for the sandbox while it lasts!

I bought two for my granddaughters. They both love theirs. It took them a little while to learn to control the digger, but now they are pros. One is two years old and the other is three. The only problem is the base needed to be anchored down, but the girl's parents figured that out. I am very happy with the purchase.

I gave this to my grandson as he turned 5 years old because inside, he has every truck imaginable, but always goes for the front end loaders or dump trucks. He absolutely loves this sand digger, so much in fact, that when I went to visit him a month later, one of the first things out of his mouth was "Grammie, I love my digger". Perfect for a child his age and a very creative way to use a sand pile.

Based on reviews and a bigger version of this digger in our neighborhood park, I ordered this one to have in our sandbox for a big backyard party. It was a HUGE hit with the kids - have had several people wanting to know where to get one. (one of the adults even tried it!)

What a great toy! We've played with these diggers for years on playgrounds, and so I was overjoyed to find it available for purchase. I had my doubts as to its being able to remain upright on its supports, but use has proven it to work.All the grands love it, and, though we got them for Christmas, found you can scoop all kinds of things (like Hot Wheels cars) indoors, too!

This is one of the best things we have gotten our kids. The boys can easily carry it (the youngest is 2) around the property to different places and play for long periods of time with it. We find that we really need 2 more so that each of the boys has their own!

My son is 4 (almost 5) and got this as a Christmas present. He absolutely loves it. On Christmas day he took it outside at my parents house and played with it. Within 30 minutes the scoop fell part way off but it was easy to fix with another bolt and we tightened down the other side. We realized even though that part came together the bolts weren't real tight. So make sure you tighten them down. This is also very easy to take along when you go somewhere. My son thinks this is best toy ever and can't wait until summer to play in the sand with it, but also enjoys playing in the snow with it.

We gave it to our 4 year grandson, and all the kids at the yacht club lined up to try it. We had to take our grandson off of it to get ready for bed.

My four year old son has enjoyed digging in his sandbox during the summer, scooping up piles of fallen leaves in autumn, and piling up the fallen snow in winter with his digger. It has a sturdy base - he has never had trouble with it tipping or being unstable while swiveling around in the chair or while digging and scooping. The seat is large enough that he fits comfortably. The levers are easy to operate - he needs no assistance. This is a toy that consumes hours of his playtime, and allows him the freedom to play independently.
