      I bought two of these eggs for my granddaughters one easter. One held the rabbit and one held a lamb. We are long distance grandparents. These eggs are now a tradition. I just have to send whatever to fill the eggs. The kids know when they see the egg, that it's from Nana and Grampa. When our grandson was born, he got one also. I can see these eggs being used for many years. I just love it. The grandkids do, too!

      I was sad to see that the collectable steiff rabbit was made in china and not Germany and that it is quite pricey if not made in germany .I would not have bought it if I realized this.The egg is very unique and nice far better than an easter basket and very nice for a change.I recommend the egg but not the Steiff rabbit

              Lovely, impressively-sized egg was a welcome break from our usual Easter basket this year. We did an egg-hunt around the house (it was too damp outdoors) and this was the surprise for the last clue left by the Easter Bunny. It was a big hit! The Steiff rabbit is so soft and comforting and became "king of the bunnies" at the foot of the bed!

                  I opened the egg and displayed the top propped against the bottom half. In the bottom I placed straw and then arranged a set of 5 baby ducklings inside (not real ducklings, of course) and then stood the nother duck beside it - watching over her babies. Adorable!
