Childhelp® is a nationwide organization that has been dedicated to helping abused, neglected and at-risk children since the 1960’s. With chapters all across the country, the organization offers a variety of resources, including prevention and education programs for families, teachers and coaches; intervention programs; help hotlines; and residential treatment facilities (villages) which provide abused and neglected kids with a safe haven to call home while they receive the help they need to heal.
The HearthSong® family has donated toys and supplies for art and music therapy to our local Childhelp® Alice C. Tyler Village. These toys allow children a way to express themselves and release negative emotions and experiences. Since 1993, the Alice C. Tyler Village has provided a healing home environment with a community atmosphere for children ages 5-14 years of age. The unique location on a 270-acre working ranch in Culpeper, Virginia creates a variety of therapeutic resources, and each child has daily opportunities to participate in recreational activities such as animal care, horseback riding, hiking, biking, rope courses, team sports, swimming, choir and more. HearthSong is happy to be part of providing healing and meaning to these treasured children!

Founded in 1965 by Lyndon B. Johnson’s War on Poverty, Head Start is a national, government-funded program committed to giving our youngest children from low-income families an opportunity to succeed in school and in life! Offered through local programs, Head Start assists with early learning, whole-body health of the child, and family care and support. Since its beginnings, Head Start has improved the lives of more than 37 million children and their families.
Proud to be able to help and support our local community, HearthSong has donated toys and books to the kids and classrooms at Skyline CAP Head Start. Skyline CAP, Inc. is a non-profit community action agency designated by the Governor of Virginia and part of the Head Start initiative. As parents, grandparents, PTA officers, kid chauffeurs, and employees of a children’s company, our HearthSong family jumps on the opportunity to spread joy locally any chance we get! Whether it’s through a company-wide competition, individual sponsorship of children and senior saints, or just donning our gloves to clean up our beautiful countryside, HearthSong is ALL IN when it comes to giving back to our community. Here are just some of the ways we love to share:
- "Adopting" a child through the Angel Tree program and showering him or her with age-appropriate gifts for Christmas
- Delivering toys to University of Virginia Children’s Hospital
- Stuffing backpacks with school supplies to distribute through our local schools for kids in need
- Packing stockings and decorating ornaments with senior saints in nursing homes
- Donating toys and books to schools
- Collecting food for food pantries and emergency services association
- Giving funds and goods to pet shelters
Are you ALL IN in with us? We encourage you to SHARE JOY and KINDNESS in your own community.
HearthSong has always had a heart for helping; and in the past, we’ve also donated to such organizations as:
- The Quad Preparatory School
- Paul Newman’s Serious Fun Children's Gala
- Boys and Girls Club of America
- Culpeper Housing and Shelter Services
- PJammin' for Kids with Cancer
Let's add to this list together! Give back—give JOY!
