My 9 year old granddaughter and 6 year old grandson are loving this activity. They are happily creating a variety of decorated candles for family, friends and teachers for holiday gifts. A lovely satisfying craft for them. They enjoyed the colors, the smell and the texture of the beeswax too and that lead to a review lesson on honeybees.

Great kit that made it easy for the kids 3-6 (with varying degrees of help) to make DIY Christmas gifts for their grandparents! Next year will buy again and work it into our advent activities!

My now grown daughter and I have made HearthSong beeswax candles every Christmas since she was very small. It is a much loved tradition. Due to COVID, we each had a kit to make virtually last Christmas on opposite coasts. This Christmas, we will make them together again in person!!

Our granddaughters, ages 8 and 5, opened a candle kit each as soon as they arrived for the weekend. Exclamations of delight, for they had enjoyed a candle kit once before. Intense creative fun followed. The fact that the kids' wax decorations stick so easily to each candle they have fashioned is a much-appreciated feature. Lighting the finished candles is so very satisfying!
