Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need to take the zipline down during the winter?

Limiting your zipline's exposure to extreme temperatures will lengthen the life of the product, so we do recommend you take it down and store it during cold winter months.

Does the zipline come with a brake system?

There is a rubber stopper included with all of our ziplines that slows the rider down at the end of the line. It is not technically a brake. The rider can expect a fun, tempered bounce at the end of the ride (not a hard and fast brake).

We do not have two suitable trees – can we attach one end of the zipline to another structure (like a platform or treehouse)?

Our ziplines can be installed on structures other than a tree; however, we do not include hardware for this and we highly advise this type of installation be performed by a licensed professional for safety.

Our trees are less than 80 ft apart. Will the zipline still work and can we cut the extra cable?

That will work great! Do not cut the cable – just wrap the excess cable around the tree.

    Happy Happy Children

My grandchildren are 5 and 6 and I installed this for them for a Christmas present. The LOVE it! They didn't care about doing anything else hahaha I helped them on it for each turn and this literally lasted hours. Their happiness and giggles and smiles and excitement made it worth it. It's installed between trees providing a run of about 50 feet so there is excess cable but that's just rolled up out of the way.

I installed it myself and it took about 5 hrs. Not bad for a Granny. Yes, I tested it for safety myself too. It's a blast! Eventually I'd like to erect posts and redirect it lengthwise along the yard to increase the ride to full length. But for now it's perfect and they are flying like all their superheros. Great recreational physical activity. Get them off those tablets and outside!!

    Thank you Hearthsong.

It works find but things are lacking

Our trees are 74 feet apart. We had to use trees that are closer. There wasn't enough cable to set it up. The instructions are also lacking.

Kids love it but difficult to set up

The paperwork says setup takes 30 minutes with 2 adults - that is a complete fabrication! It took us well over 2 hours. It’s very difficult to pull it tight enough, and the final step of tightening the zip line says to turn the mechanism but it would just unwind all on its own.

Also, we hung it between two trees that are 40 feet apart; the directions don’t give info on what to do if you choose not to use the entire length of the zip line which would been helpful. Now all we have to do is figure out a way for the kids to get up on the zip line without pulling out the 8 ft ladder from the garage.
